Ben’s Bars.
At Bens bars and slides I make high quality bespoke bullet tone bars and slides for pedal steel and slide guitar players.
For my tone bars I use high quality marine grade (316) stainless steel and CA104 Aluminium Bronze.
Each Bar is carefully machined to a fine tolerance and lovingly polished to a mirror finish.
They all have a rolled back edge for reduced snagging on the base strings and have a now standard flat recess for extreme comfort when playing slants.
They come in 4 diameters. 3/4. 7/8. 15/16 (24mm) and 1inch.
Prices range between £23 for the 3/4 inch to £30 for the 1 inch for the Stainless Plus postage , and £26-£33 for the Aluminium Bronze.
My bars are made from a solid bar, however there is an additional charge of £5 — £10 if you would like any reduction in weight by drilling/boring out the middle.

My slides are made from either 316 (marine grade) stainless steel, brass or phosphor bronze.
Each slide is tailor made for each individual with a maximum outside diameter of 1 inch (25.4mm)
They can be either straight or tapered internally with either rolled or bevelled ends or a combination of the 2.
A small 45 degree bevel is put on the inside for comfort.
The standard price for a straight slide is £20 for all metals.
For an internal taper add £3 for brass and phosphor bronze and £5 for stainless steel. Plus postage.
